Doors®

With IBM® Rational@ Doors® you have established an enterprise wide standard for Requirements Management. We offer an adapter to connect Doors with the agosense.symphony integration platform. The adapter gives easy access to Doors objects like documents, baselines, modules, requirements, embedded objects, etc.

The solution allows to integrate Requirements Management with other disciplines in the development process - regardless of the tools you are using e.g. for Change Management, Test Management, UML Modeling, etc.

Another use case is the automated exchange of requirements documents or baselines between business partners across company boundaries. Please refer to RIF-Adapter for more information:

Overview/Functions:

Create derived Change Requests or Test Cases from Requirements in Doors:

• Access and manipulate all available objects and object types in Doors and your Change or Test Management solution
• Keep related objects in sync bidirectionally.

Define your own data mapping structure between both systems' data objects, i.e.

• Create hyperlinks in Doors to refer to the Change Requests
• Create multiple data mapping scenarios for different groups or projects using our configuration sets.

Make use of the strong process modeling capabilities with agosense.symphony, i.e

• Highlight Change Requests or Test Cases if related Requirements in Doors have changed
• Track back status information to Doors if a Requirement is implemented, tested, test failed, etc.
• Create multiple process templates for different groups or projects using our visual process modeler.

If you need to integrate Doors with a UML Modeling tool, you can (amongst others):

• Import Use Case diagrams into Doors automatically
• Refine Use Cases in Doors with corresponding Requirements
• Sync back Requirements information automatically and enrich the Use Case Diagrams with this information
• ... and much more.
